Mudawwarat (Medallions): Allah

In an interesting equation of balance, the round northern minaret of al-Anwar is adorned with numerous medallions. One of the most iconic medallions of the northern minaret is located on the square base. The centre bears ‘Allah’ in bold kufic script and is surrounded by a circle and two interweaving pentagons creating a ten-pointed star.
