Chehlum is the 40th day from the 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘵, the Martyrdom, of Husain AS . Let us repeat “Ā𝘢𝘩𝘪𝘯, Ā𝘢𝘩𝘪𝘯”, as we shed tears of blood upon recalling the agony that befell RasulAllah’s SAW ⁣⁣⁣children.

Imam Ahmad al-Mastur SA , explaining the murabba’aat or fourfold orders states that most natural groupings have been established by Allah TA in fours.⁣ Within this painting, ‘Ā𝘢𝘩𝘪𝘯’ is repeated four times in Arabic from the epicentre of a circle signifying the cosmos, to form a four-fold pattern resulting in a ‘circularity over squareness of four foldness’. The number four signifies the material dimension and the unfolding of matter. The four Alifs placed in four directions signify that all fourfold orders lament the tragedy of Karbala and it is through this grief that one is able to transcend the material dimension into a state of higher consciousness that is beyond the fourness of dimension.⁣
